Why we exist
A hobby this big should not run on spreadsheets.
Trading cards became a serious market far faster than the tools around it did. Shops, sellers and collectors are all still doing by hand what software should have taken off them years ago.
The data is a mess
Card values move constantly and live scattered across marketplaces that all disagree with each other. Everyone in this hobby ends up doing the same reconciliation by hand, badly, in the evening.
The tools were built for other industries
Generic retail software has no concept of a set symbol, a collector number, a finish or a condition grade — so shops bend their process around software that was never meant for cards.
The admin eats the trading
Pricing, listing and re-listing swallow the hours that should go into buying well and serving customers. It is the least valuable work in the building and it takes the most time.

What is TCGMotion?
A technology company for the trading card space. We bring automation and modern technology to the way cards are priced, listed, bought and sold — for retailers working online, over a counter, or both.
Do you sell cards?
We come from the trade, which is how we know where the time goes. But TCGMotion is a technology company — we are not a competitor to the shops and sellers we work with, and trading data is never used against the business that generated it.
Which games do you cover?
Pokémon is where the deepest data and the most demand is, so it is where our attention has gone first. Nothing we work on is designed to care which game a card belongs to.
Who owns the data?
Whoever generated it. Full export whenever it is asked for, not only on the way out. We do not sell trading figures and we do not share them between businesses.
